Trading Room RECAP 11.3.26

🎯 Mission Accomplished…Then Mr. Market Pulled the Rug!

Bulls reclaim the battlefield, targets get tagged, Bears launch a counterattack, and the afternoon Chop Monster collects his usual tuition.

Well, well, well…

Another Cycle Day 3 in the books, and Mr. Market delivered a full-course meal of overnight liquidation, bullish recovery, textbook trade setups, structural reversals, and a late-session rug-pull.

For traders following the PTG Daily Trade Strategy Briefing, the roadmap was already on the table.

For everyone else?

Apparently, today’s trading plan involved staring at flashing candles and hoping the market would eventually explain itself.

Spoiler Alert: Hope is NOT a trading strategy! 😎

🔴 Act I: The Overnight Spill — Bears Cash Their Tickets

Yesterday’s weakness continued into the overnight session as sellers pressed their advantage, driving ES futures down to the 7545 downside objective outlined in the previous evening’s DTS Briefing.

The Bear Script was straightforward:

BEAR ROADMAP

Fulfilled

7575

Target

7555

Target

7545

Target

Bear acceptance below 7595 ±5 | Final downside objective tagged overnight

The Bears did their job.

But there was one small problem.

Today was Cycle Day 3.

And Cycle Day 3 has a rather inconvenient habit of reminding aggressive shorts that the market operates on probabilities, not their personal convictions.

🟢 Act II: The 92.65% Statistical Edge — Bulls Report for Duty

PTG Positive 3-Day Cycle Statistic

92.65%

CD1 Low

7558.25

Primary reclaim objective

Prior Low (PL)

7570

Secondary reclaim objective

The mission was simple: Trade back above the Cycle Day 1 Low at 7558.25, reclaim the lost 7570 handle, and work back into value.

By the pre-RTH briefing, price had already rebounded toward the 7595 Line in the Sand.

The Bulls were making progress, but the next assignment required clearing resistance and converting it into support.

Remember, folks:

92.65% is a historical statistical edge. It is NOT a permission slip to blindly smash the BUY button.

Price must still confirm.

🟡 Act III: Welcome to the Chop Zone — Population: Impatient Traders

Early RTH action brought grinding price movement and a flattening 89 EMA.

As ram correctly observed:

A flat 89 EMA can produce some rather unpleasant chop.

And when the 89 EMA goes horizontal, the market often becomes a glorified financial washing machine.

Round and round we go…

Stops get clipped.

Traders reverse.

Stops get clipped again.

And somewhere, the Chop Monster is shopping for a new yacht. 🛥️

The discipline here was to avoid manufacturing trades while price searched for directional conviction.

No alignment? No assignment. No attack.

🚀 Act IV: Textbook Discount Long — Bulls Deliver the Goods!

At 10:17 AM, the trading bias began leaning long above 7585.

By 10:30 AM, the message was clear: Bulls still needed to convert 7600 into upper support.

Then came the actionable Bull Script.

Bull acceptance above 7595 ±5 | 7615 confirmed fulfilled at 11:04 AM

At 11:00 AM, the room received the call:

“Textbook Discount Long.”

Four minutes later:

7615 TARGET FULFILLED!

Right on schedule, courtesy of the published DTS Briefing.

Not magic.

Not clairvoyance.

Just preparation, structure, and execution.

And as an added bonus, the room logged an:

🏆 OPEN RANGE STRATEGY TRIFECTA!

Three words every trader enjoys hearing.

Well, technically four, but who’s counting when the setups are working?

By 11:22 AM, morning objectives had been successfully completed.

As PTGDavid announced:

“You are free to move about the cabin.” ✈️

Seatbelt sign OFF.

Morning mission accomplished.

But Mr. Market wasn’t finished entertaining the passengers.

🔴 Act V: The Bear Shift — First Pullback, First-Class Opportunity

After fulfilling the upside objective, the auction changed character.

The bullish campaign had completed its immediate assignment, and sellers began taking control.

The room tracked an A4 Short with three profit targets achieved, the stop moved to entry, and a runner working.

Meanwhile, the A10 Long was flirting dangerously with its stop before showing signs of a possible kick-save.

At 11:44 AM, the next opportunity came into focus:

First Pullback Short after the Bear Shift.

This was the critical teaching moment of the session.

Once the upside objective had been fulfilled, traders needed to recognize that the auction could transition from bullish continuation to bearish rotation.

The appropriate response?

Not chasing the initial decline.

Not stubbornly holding a bullish bias.

And certainly not asking the trading gods for divine intervention.

Recognize the shift. Wait for the first pullback. Align with the new Dominant Force.

That’s the PTG way.

🧠 Act VI: OODA Loop — Stop Predicting, Start Processing

Today’s most valuable lesson wasn’t simply the 7615 target.

It was the decision-making framework surrounding what happened next.

PTGDavid challenged the room with two essential questions:

  • Did you recognize the structural shift after the upside objective was fulfilled?

  • Were you already considering and planning for a potential shift before it happened?

These questions form the foundation of the OODA Loop Decision Model.

O

Observe

Read price

O

Orient

D

Choose setup

A

Act

Execute plan

IF → THEN → ELSE

Scenario planning replaces emotional improvisation.

The objective is to train the mind to ask useful, actionable questions.

IF price completes its upside target and shifts bearish…

THEN prepare for the first pullback short.

ELSE remain patient until a qualified setup develops.

No crystal balls required.

No predicting tomorrow’s headlines.

No emotional attachment to yesterday’s opinion.

And absolutely no need to consult your neighbor’s cousin who once made $400 trading GameStop.

Trade the evidence, not the imagination.

🌪️ Act VII: Afternoon Rug-Pull — The Market Collects Its Cover Charge

After a successful morning, the afternoon session became a considerably less cooperative affair.

At 2:30 PM, PTGDavid issued the warning:

“Time for the afternoon rug-pull. Hang tight.”

By 2:55 PM, Freddie was observing the possibility of trapped longs.

And by 3:23 PM, Savann summed up the afternoon rather nicely:

“Today was a tough one to read in the afternoon.”

Indeed.

The morning had provided structured opportunities with clear objectives.

The afternoon served up uncertainty, rotation, and the familiar challenge of avoiding unnecessary trades.

Sometimes the best afternoon trade is the one you don’t take.

Especially when the morning has already paid the bills.

🏁 FINAL PTG TAKEAWAY — Trade the Plan, Not the Drama!

Today’s session reinforced several fundamental truths.

The overnight Bears fulfilled their objectives.

The Bulls responded, reclaiming key levels and delivering the first upside target.

The Open Range Strategy produced a reported trifecta.

The A4 Short provided another example of structural opportunity following the directional shift.

And the afternoon?

Well, the afternoon reminded everyone that Mr. Market is perfectly capable of turning a profitable morning into an expensive character-building exercise.

The real lesson wasn’t about predicting which direction price would move.

It was about recognizing what the auction was doing, understanding the probabilities, and executing the appropriate scenario.

Observe. Orient. Decide. Act.

Stay focused on the relevant data.

Wait for Triple-A Setups.

Respect the 89 EMA.

Manage the risk.

And above all…

🎯 PRIMARY DIRECTIVE

STAY IN ALIGNMENT WITH THE DOMINANT FORCE!

Because in this business, the market doesn’t pay you for being right about your opinion.

It pays you for executing correctly when opportunity presents itself.

And when the market decides to pull the rug?

Make sure you’re not the one still standing on it! 😂

Trade Smart. Stay Disciplined. Preserve Capital.
