Trade Strategy 6.17.25

S&P 500 (ES)

Prior Session was Cycle Day 1: This session’s low (6000 – ESU) was established “1st” during the GLOBEX opening.

NOTE: Typically when the CD1 Low is established 1st (low) in the session, the expectation is for a strong trend to develop into the RTH session. This is exactly what unfolded for this cycle day.

Contract Rollover to September (U) from June (M) had a positive impact on price volumes migrating to the forward contract. Sellers were essentially absent from this session dominated by buyers during the Morning portion of the day. The remainder of the day had price slowly pulling back from the early highs, settling near mid-VWAP. Range for this session was 109 handles on 757k. (split-volume)

Transition from Cycle Day 1 to Cycle Day 2

Transition into Cycle Day 2: Typically for CD2 we would be anticipating MATD trading range rhythms to adjust for the latest CD1 activity.

Israel/Iran conflict remains fluid which could impact traders decision-making and risk tolerance.

Although yesterday’s up trend had traders easing conflict concerns, this sentiment could instantly change.

We want to be paying close attention to price action near yesterday’s opening range (6066.25 – 6078.75 should that zone be tested. Keep vigilant for the very best opportunities and manage $risk.

Of course, nothing changes for PTG…Simply follow your plan. Take only Triple A setups and manage the $risk. ALWAYS HAVE HARD STOP-LOSSES in-place on the exchange.

PTG’s Primary Directive (PD) is to ALWAYS STAY IN ALIGNMENT with the DOMINANT FORCE.

As such, scenarios to consider for today’s trading.

Bull Scenario: Price sustains a bid above 6075+-, initially targets 6085 – 6090 zone.

Bear Scenario: Price sustains an offer below 6075+-, initially targets 6055 – 6050 zone.

PVA High Edge = 6103    PVA Low Edge = 6082         Prior POC = 6088
