Trade Strategy 3.16.17

Markets

Markets across the globe rallied overnight as traders eyed a big batch of U.S. data and digested the Fed’s decision to raise interest rates by 25 basis points. Yellen signaled more hikes were coming, but didn’t flag any plan to accelerate the pace of monetary tightening and emphasized that nothing was set in stone. “The simple message is the economy is doing well,” she added.

PTG Trading

S&P e-mini (ES) reached upside Cycle Range target of 2385.50 as markets reacted positively to Fed’s comments regarding pace of future rate hikes. Price has also achieved Positive 3 Day Cycle Target (2389) in overnight trade.

Today is Cycle Day 2 (CD2)…Having reached cycle targets, residual momentum may take price higher, although some profit-taking may unfold as well. Basically today could be somewhat confusing as Quad-Witching Options Expiration and end of Contract Rollover is all that remains this week.

Range Projections and Key Levels

Today’s Hypotheses: June 2017 (M) Contract

*****The levels outlined below are more general framework within a larger range…They are to be used are reference prices from which to consider trade opportunities, not hard trade levels.

Scenario 1:  Clear & conversion of PH (2387.75) would continue to propel price ever higher targeting 2392 – 94 zone. Cycle Range High measures 2400.

Scenario 2:  Bears are “on the hook” with seemingly no where to go…They need price below 2379.25 globex open at minimum to minimize their pain. Lower target measures 2370.50 – 2369 3 Day Central Pivot Zone.

Trade Strategy: Our tactical trade strategy will simply remain unaltered…We’ll be flexible to trade both long and short side from Decision Pivot Levels. Continue to focus on Bull/Bear Stackers and Premium/Discounts. As always, remaining in alignment with dominant intra-day force increases probabilities of producing winning trades.

Stay Focused…Non-Biased…Disciplined  ALWAYS USE STOPS!

Good Trading…David
