Prior Session was Cycle Day 3: Markets managed to secure a Positive 3 Day Cycle (92.11%) albeit, a much less robust cycle as compared to the previous cycle. This demonstrates the market rhythms of ‘expansionary and contractionary’ phases. Range for ES was 37 handles on 1.131M contracts exchanged.

This leads us into Cycle Day 1: As price continues to consolidate ahead of key CPI & FOMC releases on Wednesday, normal for CD1 would be for an average decline measuring 5341. Three Day Value Area is outlined by 5355 – 5370 as price nudges up against Weekly Value High Edge (5373.50). Our discipline of maintaining positioning that is aligned with market forces continues to serve us well, so stay the course.

 As such, scenarios to consider for today’s trading.

Bull Scenario: Price sustains a bid above 5365, initially targets 5385 – 5390 zone. 

Bear Scenario: Price sustains an offer below 5365, initially targets 5345 – 5340 zone.

Five Day Value Area is outlined by 19024 – 19110 with POC-5 19096, which we’ll mark as today’s LIS. Our discipline of maintaining positioning that is aligned with market forces continues to serve us well, so stay the course.

Bull Scenario: Price sustains a bid above 19096, initially targets 19165 – 19175 zone. 

Bear Scenario: Price sustains an offer below 19096, initially targets 19024 – 19012 zone.
