Morning Session — “Opening Lean Favors Longs”
Right from the opening print, buyers strutted into the arena like they were already on their second serving of Thanksgiving stuffing. Sustained bids above 6780± set the tone, triggering the initial bull scenario and tagging the 6805–6810 zone with precision.
✔️ Upside target fulfilled early.
Traders chimed in, charts were shared, jokes were made, and the room steadily filled with that pre-holiday glow.
Mid-Morning — Chops, Turkey, and Gamma
As the first leg settled, Manny’s setup commentary kept traders locked-in:
-
Set Up #4: +5 and +7 points harvested
-
“Chop incoming” → delivered
-
ES & NQ boxed into a tight Thanksgiving sandbox of 6800–6815
Momentum briefly rotated to the sell side, only to be met with immediate bull reinforcements. Nothing stuck. Buyers simply refused to hand the ball back.
Late Morning — “Bulls Running the Field Again”
The grind higher continued, slow but methodical.
Commentary highlights:
-
“6900 or BUST!” became the unofficial midday chant.
-
Rotation setups narrowed, volatility compressed.
-
Countertrend shorts were politely (and repeatedly) discouraged.
-
Thin holiday liquidity started whispering sweet nothings to the bulls.
Afternoon — Holiday Mode Activated
By lunch:
→ “Back is a stretch.”
→ Light-hearted chatter.
→ Farmers were thanked. (Correctly. Without them we’d be hungry, naked, and sober.)
Into the final hour, someone pulled the plug, and volume slipped into classic Thanksgiving low-vol drift. Bulls remained in control, even as things thinned into the close.
Then came the MOC fireworks:
🔻 MOC Sell Imbalance: $2.7 Billion
🔥 Sell the Turkey… Buy the Duck Hedge became the closing theme.
Community traded, joked, shared gratitude, and logged off into the long weekend.
