Tuesday RECAP

Well…sometimes Mr. Market likes to make everyone earn their lunch money.

Today’s script was about as “textbook Cycle Day 2” as it gets…provided you didn’t let the early chop convince you that watching paint dry was the more exciting option.

Overnight, ES politely behaved itself, rotating between the 7425 lower objective and the 7460 upper objective outlined in the Daily Trade Strategy. No drama. No fireworks. Just a balanced overnight auction patiently waiting for New York to stir the pot.

As expected for a Cycle Day 2, the opening session featured plenty of two-way auction and enough back-and-forth to keep both bulls and bears convinced they were geniuses…for about five minutes each.

The key remained exactly where we discussed during the morning briefing:

Acceptance above 7445 ±5 = Bulls regain the ball.

Acceptance below 7445 ±5 = Bears keep the pressure on.

Early on, both sides managed to score a few points, which prompted more than one member to describe the morning as “choppy.” (A gross understatement worthy of the Magic 8 Ball.)

Fortunately, patience continues to outperform prediction.

Once buyers established acceptance above the pivot, the script unfolded almost page-for-page from the DTS.

🎯 7460…CHECK.

🎯 7470…CHECK.

🎯 7480…CHECK.

By late morning the objectives had all been fulfilled, allowing us to officially declare any additional upside as what we affectionately refer to around here as…

“Gravy.”

As lunchtime approached, expectations shifted toward the usual midday digestion rather than heroic trade ideas. Bulls retained control, eventually carrying price toward the 7485 Scene of the Crime (SOC)—the prior breakdown area that completed the recovery sequence beautifully.

By the closing bell, price settled comfortably in the upper quartile of the day’s range, putting a nice bow on what turned out to be a very respectable Cycle Day 2.

Lessons from Today’s Session

Today’s market once again reminded us that:

  • Not every opening bell requires immediate action.
  • Acceptance matters far more than anticipation.
  • Rotation is not the enemy…impatience is.
  • Sometimes the highest-probability trade is simply waiting for the auction to finish arguing with itself.

As several members joked throughout the morning…

“These are the days that can chop me up.”

Exactly.

That’s why we let structure—not emotion—make the trading decisions.

Thanks to everyone who joined us live today, contributed great questions, shared resources, and helped make another enjoyable PTG session.

We’ll see everyone tomorrow for what promises to be another exciting chapter in Mr. Market’s ongoing comedy series.

Trade Well…Trade Smart…and remember…Mr. Market doesn’t owe anyone an easy day!
